Howler Brewery

Lang Lang, West Gippsland

Howler is a new purpose built craft brewery, that connects to the Heritage listed former Scottish & Australia Bank building in Lang Lang, West Gippsland.

The Brewery is an extension of the existing restaurant (also by John McAuley Architecture) and is accessed directly from the existing north facing outdoor dining area.

The single storey contemporary building has been designed to compliment and engage with the descending height of the existing building along its side elevations, whilst at the same time accommodating the minimum height and size requirements of the brewery.

The metal clad walls are to be in colorbond 'windspray' to provide a muted grey tone to offset and compliment both the red bricks and whitewashed walls of the north and south facades of the original Heritage listed building.
